With many great mid travel 29" trail bikes on the market this decision wasn't an easy one for Andrew. But, with 140mm rear travel and 150mm front the Santa Cruz Hightower 2.0 gives you a mid travel bike that flirts with long travel bike capabilities for that thrilling descent. This is one of the first Santa Cruz Hightower 2.0 bikes in Australia which makes this bike that little bit more special.
The build is based off the C S Hightower 2.0 with some select upgrades to give the bike that personal touch. The C S build already comes with a range of great parts featuring the Rockshox Lyrik fork with the proven charger damper to match the Rockshox Super Deluxe air rear shock. To complete the full Sram build we've got the GX Eagle drivetrain for minimal pain when climbing and Code R brakes to stop things quickly when needed.
The handlebars were upgraded to Chromag BZA carbon bars, a favourite here at FTR used by many staff members and team riders. ODI Rouge grips have been Andrew's go to for quite some time and were bolted on to provide that big grip comfort. Keeping his feet firmly in place are the Chromag Scarab pedals, their shallow concave and adjustable pins make them one of the most comfortable and secure pedals around.
We're really happy we're able to help Andrew work through the decision process on his new bike. We know he's going to love it and can't wait to see him on our social rides soon.
