What better way to re-introduce Pivot Cycles to For The riders Brisbane MTB shop than with a fresh Switchblade build. The Pivot Switchblade was recently overhauled to turn in the beauty we're left with now. More than just looking good this bike has all the right angles and a proven DW-Link suspension design that will give it some serious pace on the South East QLD MTB trails. Let's have a look at Anton's build.
Starting from the bottom up this bike is rolling on Maxxis Minion DHR II EXO tyres front and rear. Although marketed predominantly as a rear tyre the DHR II still has good hold up front to say the least! The DT Swiss M1700 wheelset is dependable and consistent for all day performance while the Sram X01 Eagle drivetrain featuring the new 52t cassette provide consistent, slick shifting.
Up front the new Fox 36 forks sit confidently. Re-designed for MY21 these forks have a host of refinements including a new lowers design featuring bleed ports on the back of the fork. Our most popular top of the line suspension fork just got better! The Pivot carbon handlebar has a great stealth finish on it, not taking anything away from the key components of the bike. Bolted onto the bars is a set of Sram G2 RSC brakes, light enough for trail bikes bust strong enough for Enduro.
Finished off with a Fox Factory Kashima dropper post and more this is one smooth looking bike. It was a pleasure to build this new Pivot in the For The Riders Brisbane MTB workshop. Enjoy the ride Anton, hope to see you on the trails soon.
