Stephen Ferguson's Yeti SB130

Posted by For the Riders Admin on

Stephen has been a long term customer of ‘For The Riders’ and we’ve had the pleasure of building many great bikes for him. But, is this the nicest yet?

Stephen was after something more aggressive then his SB100 but still wanted a bike that was agile and easy to climb on his local trails. As appealing as the SB150 is the SB130 was the answer… with a twist. Normally spec’d with a 150mm fork we bumped it up to 160mm of silky smooth travel. The longer fork also slackens the head angle and extends the wheelbase making for a more confidence inspiring bike whilst descending.

The componentry on the bike is second to none. Custom wheels hand built in the ‘FTR’ workshop, Chris King’s new ‘Matte Jet’ hubs on Enve rims. That signature Chris King 'buzz' never sounded so good!

Then the unmistakable golden glint of a complete Sram XX1 group set… it’s a dream bike isn’t it?

Overall this slightly understated black bike could slip under some people’s radar. But, look closely and your about to be hit by a torpedo!

Of all the bikes we have built, this might be the one that has all our staff the most jealous right now. Thanks Stephen for letting us work with you on building up such an amazing bike.
