The swiss army knife of Santa Cruz bikes, the Hightower. 140mm rear travel designed for a 150mm fork this bike will eat up our local Brisbane MTB descents before taking you to the top again to do it all over. Assembled in the For The riders Brisbane workshop Brendan's bike is something else!
This particular custom Santa Cruz Hightower is decked out with a full Shimano XT M8100 drivetrain and groupset. The new Shimano XT is proving to be popular for many custom builds with solid performance at a rather reasonable price. The cockpit features the smooth lines of a Chromag BZA carbon bar matched to the BZA stem and Mood DT saddle.
The suspension is sorted out from Rockshox with the Super Deluxe rear shock and Lyrik Ultimate fork to smooth out those nasty bits! These two units paired together give riders a great, balanced feel allowing you to weight the bike appropriately and get the best grip from you tyres. Speaking of which, Maxxis MTB tyres are fitted to the sturdy DT Swiss M1700 wheelset for a great combination of performance and reliability.
This bike definitely looks the part standing still and we're sure it will feel the part on the trails. Enjoy the ride Brendan!
