Connor Aves is a new addition to the FTR Elite race team for the year. Taking on both the local SEQ DH series and select National events he needed a race bike that would inspire speed at every opportunity. The Devinci Wilson 29” fitted the bill and what a bike it has become.
Devinci’s split pivot suspension design has been proven on the world cup DH and Enduro world series circuits to handle all a rider can throw at a bike. The unique design gives remarkably active suspension performance under braking for a single pivot linkage.
Building not only a fast bike but a consistent bike was key. As a result Sram components have been spec’d throughout. The 7 speed DH specific drivetrain gives riders all the gears they need and nothing more to save weight. Code RSC brakes are now a favourite at FTR due to their great stopping power and lever feel. Perfect for a DH bike or big hitting trail bike. Rockshox suspension is equipped front and rear to keep things smooth and as a bonus matches great in red.
The cockpit has been decked out with Chromag components including the genuine leather trailmaster saddle. These leather saddles give bikes a unique touch of class that easily sets a bike apart from the rest.
To round out the build DT Swiss 350 hubs on EX471 rims are a proven combination fit for any racer. With Maxxis boots on grip is assured at those critical moments.
Building up a custom DH bike is something we don’t get to do nearly as much as we’d like which makes this build even sweeter. To top it off Connor has already put in some great results on the bike!
