George's SC Carbon Chameleon

Posted by Chris Dalziel on

The Santa Cruz Chameleon is a killer bike. So you can only imagine our excitement when the carbon model was released. George shared our excitement and put us to the task of building him up a custom ride.

The Carbon Chameleon is just as versatile as the name suggests. Designed for 120mm to 140mm of front travel with that light weight carbon construction you can build it up to be at home on your local XC trail or tackling rough and technical descents.

George’s bike is kitted out with a Sram GX Eagle groupset and Rockshox Pike fork. Because stopping fast is just as important as going fast the brake of choice, Shimano XTR.

The cockpit is completed with a matching Truvativ Descendant bar and stem combo while the Sensus Lite grips provide that premium rider comfort and control.

When you have no rear suspension you need to make sure your wheels are strong and tyres grippy. This is why we’ve gone for the DT Swiss M1900 spline wheelset on Maxxis Ardent Race tyres.

We're wrapped with how this bike turned out, light weight and ready to rip. Enjoy the ride George!
