Evan's Ibis Ripmo

Posted by Chris Dalziel on

Once riders have tried one of our Ibis demo bikes and experienced the ride for themselves it confirms their suspicions, these are fast, fun bikes. As a result we're lucky enough to be putting together seem great Ibis builds lately including this dreamy Ripmo for Evan. The Ripmo has 29" wheels with 145mm of DW-Link driven rear travel supported by a 160mm fork. These bikes strike a great balance for the Brisbane mountain biker who likes to get adventurous but still likes to pedal efficiently. Evan's Ibis has been decked out with great parts across the board to make for an incredible ride.

The unmistakable gold of the Kashima Fox Factory suspension always catches the eye, Fox 36 up front with a Float X2 air shock out the back. Shifting and braking is looked after with a tidy, crisp Sram setup. X01 Eagle 12 speed drivetrain and Sram Code RSC brakes. These are some of our most popular drive / brake options and for good reason, tried and tested by us here at For The Riders we know the stuff works.

The wheels are a rather wide Ibis S35 29" carbon rim on the Industry Nine Hydra hub. Evan has had previous experience on a wide rims and was excited to replicate the wide tyre / rim profile performance on this new bike. With a Maxxis Minion DHF up front and Minion DHR II on the back grip will be at a premium.

All said and done we're left with a stunning Ibis that will ride even better than it looks. Enjoy the bike Evan!
