Sales Manager Jamie has been keenly plotting his latest dream bike for some time now, a full carbon Forbidden Bike Co. Druid. The Forbidden Druid has been very popular since landing in Australia and its easy to see why. They have a great high single pivot suspension design that is very appealing. With a 100% rearward axle path the rear wheel moves with impacts / compression instead of fighting against them making for a super stable and composed ride.
Jamie has matched this Canadian designed frame with some special Canadian made carbon components from We Are One, featuring the 'Union 29" Hydra Wheelset' and 'Da Package' bar and stem combo. The carbon rims are designed to not only be strong but compliant for the best ride quality possible. Matched with the outstanding Industry Nine Hydra hubs these wheels are nothing short of a 'revolution'. The 'Da Package' bar and stem combo is designed to be used exclusively together. With a one piece aluminium stem and carbon bar this unique setup uses an 'anti crimp sleeve' to disperse clamping forces form the stem. This results in an insanely strong and light setup.
For the rest of the components Jamie has gone for an almost exclusive Sram build. Sram XX1 Eagle shifter and derailleur with an AXS level cassette and chain because, why not give your bike a touch of rainbow? Sram Code RSC brakes are set with the task of slowing down this fast bike whilst Sensus DisIsDaBoss grips keep things comfortable. Rockshox Pike Ultimate forks combined with the Maxxis Assegai 3C tyre keep things tracking in the most challenging Brisbane mountain biking conditions.
All said and done, Jamie has created one great looking bike that has all the pieces of the puzzle needed to go fast. No excuses.
