Liam knows a thing or two about going fast in a race car so naturally he wanted a fast bike. The Santa Cruz Blur was the answer, ready to tackle on any and every hill climb its faced with.
The Sram XX1 AXS wireless drivetrain is second to none, the perfect fit for this light weight pedalling machine. This state of the art drive train is matched with the new Sram G2 brakeset. These brakes deliver a great, solid lever feel and more than enough power for short to mid travel trail bikes.
Wheels are a critical component on such a pedal driven bike hence the wise choice was made to go for the new Industry Nine Hydra hubs. These hubs have an exceptional 690 points of engagement allowing riders to put power down almost instantaneously. They also have leaf springs actuating the pawls to provide less drag than a traditional spring system. Laced to DT Swiss XR391 rims to make for a light and strong wheelset. To keep things tracking Maxxis Ardent race tyres were installed front and rear, fast tyres for a fast bike.
Keeping things stiff up front is the Fox 32 Factory series step-cast fork. Paired neatly to a Thomson stem and carbon flat bar with ESI foam grips this is an XC riders dream setup.
This is potentially the nicest Santa Cruz Blur we've ever had the pleasure of building. Super light and super fast, enjoy the bike Liam!
