Our big tall team man, Hayden Wright, has upgraded to a big wheeled bike of his own. No better fit than the new Giant Reign Advanced 29" Advanced 1. Hayden has come from a long history of Giant Reign's and this latest revision has got him, and us, more excited than ever. Working off the Advanced 1 model Hayden has put in some great upgrades to match the bike to his riding style and racing needs, maximising performance.
Hayden had previously ran a DVO suspension package on his 27.5” Giant Reign, and was wrapped with the performance. Given this, it was a no brainer that he immediately installed a DVO Diamond fork and Jade coil shock on this new bike. For a small weight penalty coil rear shocks provide exceptional small bump sensitivity and a consistent feeling through their stroke that air shocks simply can't yet match.
Hayden also took the opportunity to set the bike up with a strong, reliable wheelset that would be up to the high demands of his Enduro racing. The DT Swiss EX511 rim and DT Swiss 350 hub combination the easy answer. A strong aluminium wheelset that can take a beating and get you to the finish line again and again. Cush Core tyre inserts were also installed so that Hayden can keep his tyre pressures low and maximise ride feel without the increased risk of pinch flats or rim damage.
