Australia is due to get its first shipment of Forbidden Druid frames mid September through exclusive distributor DanJas Imports and we've pre-ordered some of these great frames already. However, one keen rider had seen the bikes months ago pre-ordering a frame overseas from their first production run and recently picking it up whilst on holidays. We helped him build it up and what a bike it has become, subtle in appearance yet when you see it you can't take your eyes off it.
The rainbow Sram AXS XX1 Drivetrain shines through distinctively. The only thing matching its commanding presence is the precise and sharp nature of its shifting, it has to be felt to be believed. We've matched the wireless drivetrain with Sram's wireless AXS dropper to provide not only the best lever feel but a super clean look. The only cables on this bike coming from Shimano's new XTR M9120 brakes, four pistons of power with Shimano's refined lever feel.
The cockpit features a Renthal Fatbar Carbon matched to a Renthal Apex Stem, proven light weight performance. The unmistakable Kashima coast of the Fox 36 Factory series fork is right at home on this top end build. Which leads us to the light and fast DT Swiss XMC1200 wheelset, the matte finish of the wheelset and discrete grey decals match the frame and keep in line with the subdued image of the bike. The Maxxis Griffin is looking after grip on the rear with a Maxxis Minion DHF up front for that predictable, consistent feel.
We're not lying when we say this bike is one of a kind. We're wrapped with the way this bike turned out and can't wait till September when we see Australian stock and start building some more.
