Kris's Yeti SB130

Posted by Chris Dalziel on

After utilising our demo fleet and testing a number of bikes we had available Kris settled on the SB130 to be his bike of choice. With 130mm of rear travel paired to a 150mm fork on 29" wheels it's easy to see why, the Yeti numbers suit our local South East Queensland trails perfectly! With this decision made it was onto the build.

Fox Factory suspension throughout the bike was an easy choice, Fox is always at home on a Yeti! The Sram X0 Eagle drivetrain makes light work of the steepest climbs in the area. There is something to be said about the light and precise action of a Sram shifter.

Wheels make a huge difference to the ride quality of a modern mountain bike. Kris went for a light yet reliable aluminium setup pairing the infamous DT Swiss 240 hub on DT Swiss XM481 rims. Matched with the best grip in the business from Maxxis front and back and its a seriously tidy bike from head to toe.
