A big, beautiful Forbidden Druid. Pete was eagerly awaiting his dream bike for some time and it gave us great pleasure to deliver it to him in such style. The ride of the Forbidden Druid is incredible and once he had experienced the 'high pivot witchcraft' the decision was made and dream bike plan was hatched.
Up front is the black Rockshox Pike Ultimate with it's gloss finish matching the gloss on the deep purple 'cosmic eggplant' of the druid. Working our way up we have the Deity Topside handlebar and descendant stem, reliable controls for a sure ride. Bolted on we have an XO / GX drivetrain combination to get the best shifting performance at the best price while Sram Code brakes provide ample stopping power.
The wheels on this bike were custom built for Peter in the For The Riders workshop, Industry Nine Hydra hubs on DT Swiss XM481 rims. One of the leading, if not the leading mountain bike hub on the market, paired to a light and dependable rim from DT Swiss, it's a great combination.
Finished off with grips from Sensus, Goodyear rubber and other choice parts this bike is quite something. Thanks Peter for giving us the chance to build this beauty in the For The Riders Brisbane MTB workshop, enjoy the ride!
