Tony's Black and Red Beast

Posted by Chris Dalziel on

Tony came to us looking for his latest trail weapon. A bike that could handle nasty descents but get him to the top again quick and easily. After taking his time to try a few bikes from our demo fleet he liked the Wreckoning but wanted something more playful. Then trying the Calling he experienced just how much fun a shorter travel bike can be. But, we were still looking for a bit more travel and forgiveness. Enter, the Offering.

With 140mm travel front and rear bolted to fast and efficient 29” wheels with a 66.6 degree head angle this bike rips.

Tony wanted his bike to match up perfectly. We achieved this with a super clean Sram build. High end parts for a high end frame all with a classic black and red theme that looks ace.

The Rockshox Lyrik in the stand out fire truck red will keep the front end pointing where it needs to when it gets ugly. Meanwhile the Fox Float DPX2 rear shock ensures the back end is composed at the same time.

A complete Sram  XO1 Eagle drivetrain ensures no climb is too great whilst the Code RSC brakes make sure no descent is too steep.

All in all we are wrapped with how this build came together. Thanks Tony for letting us work with you to build such a great bike.
