Norco's E-bike offering continues to expand and impress with the introduction of the Sight VLT 29". The Sight VLT fast made a name for itself with great handling and that smooth, reliable Shimano STEPS electronic performance. So much so that the 'Loam Wolf' named it 2019 E-bike of the year. Not content with this the crew at Norco set about making a 29" model to cater to more riders and push the boundaries of E-bike performance even further.
The Good Stuff
The Sight VLT 29" utilises Norco's new 'Ride Aligned' geometry / bike fit system to make sure riders have the right sized bike for them with the perfect angles and suspension kinematics to weight the tyres and control the bike on descents and the climbs. Already proven on their new Sight it's only natural that the big VLT brother gets the same special treatment. Riding a balanced, 'Ride Aligned' bike gives riders the confidence to push harder and go faster as the bike handles exactly the way it was designed to for every rider of every size.
Designing powerful, successful e-bikes around the Shimano STEPS motors previously it made sense to continue the trend. The Sight VLT 29" C1, C2, and A1 are all powered by a Shimano STEPS E8000 motor with a 630Wh battery neatly places in the down tube while the A2 models has a E7000 motor and 500Wh battery. All models have the options to purchase and install the 360Wh range extender for riders who are looking to go on those epic E-mountain bike adventures.
This is the first time we've seen a performance E-bike from Norco with a carbon and aluminium frame option. The aluminium bike is perfect for riders who are looking to get on a high end E-bike backed with a great design and a tonne of technology at a more affordable price. Meanwhile the carbon models give riders everything they desire in E-bike technology and construction.
