Santa Cruz Heckler E-Bike

Posted by Chris Dalziel on

A legend returns. The Santa Cruz heckler is back bigger than ever, literally. Santa Cruz didn't jump on the E-bike trend looking to make a quick buck and take advantage of the hype. They saw E-bikes grow, rode them to see if its something they'd want to ride, developed their own with rigorous testing processes and produced one incredible bike. The new Santa Cruz Heckler E-bike. The mountain biker's E-bike.

At a glance you can see this E-bike is distinctively Santa Cruz. Featuring the smooth lines we've become accustomed to and their modern lower link driven VPP suspension it's a thing of beauty. The Heckler is available as a CC frame only, Santa Cruz's highest quality carbon construction maximising strength at minimal weight.

The Numbers

The juicy details you desire. The Heckler E-bike gives riders 150mm rear travel paired to a 160mm front fork. These kind of numbers on an E-bike make for an exceptionally versatile ride. More than enough travel to let the bike thrive on the descent whilst that motor and smart suspension kinematics will drive you to the top without an issue. The geometry supports the bikes versatility with a 65.5 degree head angle, 76 degree seat angle, 445mm chain stay length and 1237mm wheelbase (large).

E-Motor

The Heckler sports a Shimano 250 watt motor powered by a 504Wh battery. At For The Riders we've had really positive experience so far with Shimano E-bike motors on our Norco bikes and are very pleased to see Santa Cruz go down the same path. For E-bike riders in the Brisbane / SEQ region 504Wh should be ample battery across our trail networks.
